I would like to share a couple of true stories I have that made me believe there is a after life. It starts with my mother whom I was close to. She past away on January 10, 2001 from a battle with lung cancer. My family at the time was living in a fairly new home in Mishawaka. After my mother's death our church had given me the 23rd Psalm framed in a heavy gold trimmed picture frame. Knowing there might be a chance of it falling off a regular nail I took great care to make sure this wouldn't happen. I found a two-inch nail with a large head. With my stud finder I was able to hammer this nail right into the stud of the wall. A couple of weeks later, my brother and I were standing in the living room talking when we heard it hit the floor. I knew the impossible just happened. I walked over to it, which was about five feet from where we were standing. Picked it up off the floor and took it over to my brother, who hadn't seen it yet. Reading some of it shortly before I handed it to him. Psalms 23  1.  The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  2.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,  3.  he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  4.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  5.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Reading this I knew it was a message from my mother or from God. That she is now with our Lord. My brother looked at the clasp on the back, which is v-grooved and thick metal. It was tight. The frame or glass was not harmed by the fall. He took it over to the wall where it was hanging. Reach out to touch the nail. He tried to wiggle it. It to was solid. He told me not to make excuses. There was no way that this frame could have fallen off the nail. It was physically impossible. It has to be lifted off the nail head to be removed. He hung it back up and it had stayed until I removed it much time later. 2. The other time something strange had happened was a few days before my brother-in-law had passed away on June 22, 2003. I was home alone setting on my couch watching TV. My right arm was over the arm of the couch. I felt one of our cats pass under my hand. I felt around to pet it, but had seen both of our cats resting in the kitchen. I thought people would think I was crazy, so I was planning on not telling anyone that I had felt something (fuzzy) that wasn't really there. Or was something really there? Later that night we were setting at the dinner table. My wife and daughter on one side and my mother-in-law was across from me. All of the sudden my mother-in-law jumped out of the chair. She said she didn't want to squish the cat that was behind her. She stated that she could feel what seems to be a cat. There was nothing behind her. Then I told them the story about my morning when I had also thought I felt one of the cats. We thought it might had been my brother-in-law's spirit/soul since he had passed away that following weekend. He might have been unconscious during that time we experience that.
